I like Stein but that article is really disturbing. His son is going to end up wrapped around a telephone pole. If the kid drives like that when his dad is next to him, imagine what he does on his own.

I do not understand Stein's feeling that HE is guilty for what Tommy and his friends did.

Tommy LIED and BETRAYED Stein's trust. Then Tommy went to bed and rest while Stein cleaned up the mess.

Memo to Stein: Get the liar out of bed and oversee him cleaning up the house HE messed up. Let HIM feel guilty.

I remember reading Stein 10 years ago, and his loving paens to his little boy. Now he has abdicated all authority, and why? Strange. He has one more year and he chooses to board him an a school instead of being with him, and he allows him carte blanche to do whatever he wants in a wild city like L.A. (And a teen with $$$ is living in a wild place here, as well I know.)
