I did not know that she had been home for 42 days in the early 1990s. The Schindlers have said that they would like to care for her at home: she would need the "home health" services. I suspect that their will to make this work would overcome their age. Her younger brother would be her official guardian were she allowed to come to the parents' residence.
Even if Terri has round-the-clock nursing care in the Schindlers' home, there are still many burdens to bear. The Schindlers will find this a much greater task than they are anticipating. It is quite likely they will find soon find it too overwhelming.
