Are they going to chip in and pay for her care?? Are they going to bathe her and change her diapers?

First of all, we "do-gooders" have yet to save Terri from judicial execution, but we can pray for two weeks to go. Secondly, it is the taxpayers now paying her expenses though her "husband" lives in a house presumed worth $400,000. Thirdly, it is the Schindlers who would provide her low-cost health care in their own home. So, if Terri were spared, you would be pleased: the taxpayers would no longer be paying her expenses. As far as "bathing her," that can be done in 10 to 15 minutes a day. The feeding tube probably would require less than 20 minutes a day. But the Schindlers will resume feeding by mouth if given the chance.

Terri did briefly come home -- to her parents' home -- in 1990 or 1991. After 42 days she was put back into hospice care because the burden of caring for her was too great. That was 15 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Schindler must now be at least in their 60's. While I understand their desire, it is very likely they will soon find they are not able to care for her.
