We're in our fourth year of homeschooling, and we're homeschooling a young girl until her parents get on their feet. Our kids will never attend public schools.

There's an interesting vanity here: High School Equivalency Exam... There's a growing number of folks who think high school is a waste of time... While I don't know if we'll skip high school, by the time our children go through 8^th grade, they'll have a better education than those who graduate from today's public high schools.

Would that it was only a "waste" - but it's worse than that. It's toxic.....and this article is just another indication of same.

Interesting. Much of the last year of high school is a repeat of the first year in college, at least it was 2 decades ago!
