The prices have never gone down when a National sales tax has been put in place in other countries.

Monkey see, monkey do. Apparently you're a follower not a self-leader.

What countries have a consumption tax for their sole source of revenues. No payroll tax, no VAT tax, no flat tax, just a sales tax. I read the tax threads and no country existing on just a sales tax has been identified. Apparently you know of a couple or few, Which countries?

In the U.S. there's approximately 22% of the price is hidden/embedded taxes.

I agree there are hidden/embedded taxes, but most of them are embedded taxes in labor costs which cannot be wrung out, unless all Federal taxes are removed. A worker will still require the same gross salary whether he pays his tax on income or on ecpenditures.

it's easier to be critical than correct.

(I'm with you.) It can't really get any worse.
People who are dead set on keeping the current fiasco
of a tax system remind me of the farmers who get suicidal
every time the mere mention of cutting farm subsidies comes up.
