This is a different subject but I think it applies to your last "revise and extend" post--
I have been watching the Senate today debating new bankruptcy laws---and Kennedy and Durbin had a colliquy discussing how it is "unfair" that some states have better homestead exemptions than other and that "they" need to fix it---
I am confused, aren't the STATES supposed to be able to make laws pertaining to their residents? I say that because I know that Texas is one state that Kennedy and Durbin would like to change---
What happened to state's rights? I think that that is a subject we need to "march" about also--
Brit Hume getting ready to talk about how the Supremes reached yesterday's decision, next!!!
Almost all of these issues roll up to the SCOTUS at some point. If we fix that problem it willl all sort out. SCOTUS is at the root of what has gone wrong with America. Fixing it will involve "communicating" strongly with Congress and the WH. I think Jim is on the right track to limit the issue to one we can hit with a big hammer. But that's just MO.
Jim has it covered.

"Their job is to defend the Constitution and the Republic and the STATES and NOT to usurp powers retained by the states and we the people.
