By the time you get this rolling the cherry blossoms will be in bloom. It will be nice time to be there in DC.

SCOTUS is not immune to public pressure, and their rulings are only as powerful as we the people allow them to be. They command no enforcement resources, those are the Justice Dept and military both under control of the executive. They have no financial power, the purse is controlled by congress. The states can ignore the ruling and the court is powerless unless backed up by the other COEQUAL branches of government.

They all need to hear from us. I'm ready let's go. Who will draft the petitions of grievance?

And we need to modify their oath of office while we are at it.

Amen. The Judiciary was supposed to be the "least dangerous branch." From Federalist No. 78: (http://federalistpatriot.us/fedpapers/fed_78.html)

"...Whoever attentively considers the different departments of power must perceive, that, in a government in which they are separated from each other, the judiciary, from the nature of its functions, will always be the least dangerous to the political rights of the Constitution; because it will be least in a capacity to annoy or injure them. The Executive not only dispenses the honors, but holds the sword of the community. The legislature not only commands the purse, but prescribes the rules by which the duties and rights of every citizen are to be regulated. The judiciary, on the contrary, has no influence over either the sword or the purse; no direction either of the strength or of the wealth of the society; and can take no active resolution whatever. It may truly be said to have neither FORCE nor WILL, but merely judgment; and must ultimately depend upon the aid of the executive arm even for the efficacy of its judgments...."

It's time to re-establish the proper boundaries of the three branches.

A march would only be effective if it were HUGE and the justices in particular and the gov't in general got the distinct impression that the law that they themselves have crapped on for so long is about to get crapped on BUT GOOD by a mob.

These people are as remote and elite and beyond mere opinion as any bunch of rulers has ever been in the history of the world. They sure as HELL don't give a good damn for someone named Jim Robinson or John Galt or Joe Blow.

Hi Jim - Did you know Roger Hedgecock is planning a big "Hold Their Feet to the Fire" trip in April? According to Roger, there are several other talk show people also arranging to join in on the trip. They are planning on 1000 people. Their main focus will be protecting our borders.

I'm wondering if maybe you should contact Roger and see if they might want to join in your MARCH. If you're looking for a good date to march, those extra people would give us a lot of leverage - and I know the trip is scheduled for April. http://www.rogerhedgecock.com

I do so want to be there - but it's just not possible right now.

Great idea. I have another idea that might garner some attention: make these judges into well-known public figures.

One of the enabling features of judicial tyranny is the relative anonymity of the would-be judicial tyrant. They hide behind these ambiguously-worded rulings on the "constitutionality" of a law, and hope that most people aren't dogged or thorough enough to figure out what they are up to. Wouldn't we have a great impact if we started running full page ads in newspapers with a picture of a judge next to a description of their activist ruling, plus their office phone numbers so that we can call and demand that the will of the people be felt? Can you imagine a judge in a state who just decreed that the prohibition on same-sex marriage is "unconstitutional" having to actually deal with his face (and his office number) plastered all over a full-page ad in his local paper describing what he just did?

Maybe I'm all alone on this, but I really believe that most judges would think twice about creating law from "on high" if they knew that they were going to be deluged with irate phone calls from outraged citizens, and that they would be instantly recognizable and notorious for their actions. These judges need to made aware of the fact that the people aren't going to stand for this anymore.

What do people think about this idea? If enough people are interested, maybe we can take up a collection and pool our efforts.

My letter - hand delivered to the office of Frist:

We the people of the United States worked hard donated our hard earned money and elected Republicans to the US Senate. We expected a lot to happen!!!! Nothing has. It is still a WIMP club where the Republicans kowtow to the left-wing fascist anti-American democrats in hopes of being invited to the next golf outing.

It is a shame that I have not heard one Republican stand up for this country and the voters and tell the democrats to go to hell.

Now the Supreme Court has decided it can dictate law to the States. Where are our Senators, hiding in their plush offices waiting for their personal hair stylist or licking to boots of the anti-American democrats to curry favor.

It is a disgrace that we who have worked so hard, voted and gotten others to vote are being tossed on the trash heap by WIMP assed Republicans who are afraid of the left-wing anti-American Traitor democrats.

Do your jobs, kick some democrat ass!!!!!!

Troublemaker alert.

How unsophisticated to think that our justices should not be informed by opinions from international courts.

This jingoist attitude must cease.

Hand out a date/time group and we'll make plans.

Memorial Day weekend would have some neat significance.

"If they can do it in Lebanon, we can do it here!!"

So very true.

Seriously, though, because of distance and having kids in school, the chances are slim to none but if I can possibly make it, I will be there.

The bizarre thing here is that the SC is supposed to obey the law and the Constitution, and ignore public opinion such as that expressed by protesters. What makes that bizarre is that the recent ruling on the death penalty cites evolving public standards (or opinion, in other terms). So if they ignored the march, they would be going contrary to their own ruling.

I'll be there. It's way overdue.

Let's do it BEFORE Justice Stephen Breyer decides that some French court ruling makes the First Amendment inapplicable to peaceful protests of our black robe wearing, unaccountable and unelected legislators.
