This is probbly old news, but in case you have not noticied a growing list of internet sites furnish your private information freely. This might not mean anything to some of you, but how safe are you in your home, when anyone can go to Google and type in your phone number and get your name, address and a map to your home.
If you are interested other sites to check are:
http://www.anywho.com
http://www.switchboard.com
http://www.whitepages.com
http://www.411.com
Im sure there are many more, but each has a web location where your information can be removed.
Sure, they can find where I live, but none of the information they get will do any good. I can't get any more credit cards (poor credit), the cards I do have are maxed out, I've got nothing in my bank accounts (living paycheck to paycheck), and none of my friends will loan me anything :>)
* later.
Same here! :-)
That'll teach em. LOL

Same here - except I also have gun skills.

But, hey...give me your phone number and I'll see if it works, OK?
The ability to get name and address from phone numbers, or maps from addresses is not new, I think what's alarming is that now even the lazy have access to it.
What do you need to know about me?
How much do you need? I have a stack of stolen credit cards and debit cards.
I wouldn't be too worried. I tried several sites and "my" free information is hopelessly wrong. However, they want an additional $ 45 for the "real" information.

Me, too. I hand them out on Saturdays outside of the movie theater. It's my recreation on weekends. The rest of the week I spend looking up phone numbers on Google, then following the maps.
What the heck...it's a living. </sarc>
They may find my house, but they know nothing of the choice of among 15 guns I can choose from to welcome them with. I have always wanted to put a sign in the window:
"This is house where a big gun lives. If you would like to find out how big, just crawl through the window after dark."
Since my identity has already been stolen once, it's not too private. Plus, if you access google, plus in the phone number, you'll get the person's name and address and directions on how to get there.
Are we related?
