Wrong, the Texas prisons are full of illegals who've broken the law. Why are they in prison? Because they broke the law, the were tried, convicted and punished. That what we call "subjec to the law". Say it with me, "sub-ject to the law". See I knew you could.

A diplomat or child of a diplomat on the other hand does NOT go to jail for possession (example as the most common offense illegals are locked up for in Texas) but instead gets a free ride home. Ditto for auto theft, shoplifting, DUI, etc etc. They are NOT subject to our laws.

The wordng of the Fourteenth Amendment is actually ".. subject to the jurisdiction.." In legal parlance "sub-ject to the law" and "subject to the jurisdiction" refer to completely different concepts. This is why Native Americans did not become citizens under the Fourteenth Amendment (this was changed by another law in 1924). This error crept in in Post 192 as far as I can tell.
