So, how does this affect us in the good ol' USA?

US CODEX COALITION YOUR HELP NEEDED
As you have probably heard by now, AAHF is leading a workshop to bring together the top organizations, activists, and others interested in Codex. This 2-day workshop will be held April 22-23 in Crystal City, VA with a press conference on April 25th at the National Press Club to announce the formation of the US Codex Coalition and the participants.
We have also sent members of Congress a survey about Codex to gain a better understanding of what they think of the potential threat.
There is a growing unease about Codex and the FDA is feeling it. They recently posted on the website their response to several questions they have been receiving: http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/dscodex.html. We are inviting a FDA representative to attend the workshop. We'll keep you posted.
