There have been roundups away from the borders, but yes, the majority happen at or very near the borders.

Huh, Bush is the one with the cajones to propose a solution to an immigration problem for 40 years that has been out of control, kinda of like your rhetoric.

Do you give Rep. Tancredo the same credit for coming up with a somewhat similar proposal as the President?

(Trinity wrties)I'm sorry - you're on your own... you deserved what you got.

"deserved what (you) got"? I didn't "got" anything except some snippy little dogs yapping at my heels from among the DU crowd & about an equal number of e-mails from conservatives giving me kudos. People like our resident DU'ers are as abundant as flies and about as annoying but hardly worthy contestants. The day one of those 4.3 DU-er's comes up with ANYTHING of substance, an effective rebuttal, a fact-supported opinion, a cogent thought of ANY kind, anything above and "neener neener" I will stand up and applaud them, one and all.

Next topic: I notice that you have no rational explanation for ElPrEsIdEnTe's (I reversed the cap/lower case sequence. Better?) behavior, too (or should that be "either"?). If you have no counter suggestions or rebuttals, how can you conclude that I am wrong? In order for there to be "wrong" answer there conversely needs to be a "right" answer, or some indicator that the first answer is obviously not possible. An example would be "I can FLY! Wheeee.....Uh oh!....."SPLAT!"....hmmm, guess not".

So where is the "SPLAT!"?

I truly HOPE I am wrong because the last thing I want to see is another 9/11 but with 56,000+ largely-hostile OTM's pouring across our borders annually, with our Muslim covens/sleeper cells full of America-haters and "Our GOOD FRIENDS in the Middle East", Saudi Arabia, pumping still more Anti-American hate books and money into same, With the WMD's Missing from the Soviet Union and Syria and Lebanon being in control of Saddam's WMD's (see today's NEWSMAX); with all the red flags from our security experts, with ElPrEsIdEnTe fully aware of our border problem and refusing to do anything about it; at WHAT point does "transparently intransigent" turn to "malicious" or "criminally negligent"?

Lets look at a similar example. Let's say that you is friends with person "A" and person "B" and you KNOW person "B" is mean, a brawler and carries a knife. person "A" gets into a fight with person "C" and you, being a loving kind person, hold person "C" to prevent them from fighting all the while telling them "fighting is wrong. Be peaceful" while person "B" stabs them, are you, as one who merely holds person "C" while "B" stabs them, REALLY any better than the "stabber" in the end? Is the message sincere or is it all a sham, as the outcome illustrates?

Same can be said about BOOSH. Holding the US citizen's (person "B") in check while talking about a "religion of peace" and "family values" south of the Rio Grande, while the "stabbers" (person "B") pour over our southern border to engage us. 70%+ of us (person "C") plus all the security professionals are telling him "HELP! We're gonna get killed" while he continues to do nothing but mouth obviously incorrect and meaningless platitudes. Do you really believe he doesn't know what the long term effects of his intransigence will be? If one KNOWINGLY engages in such behavior, KNOWING the probable outcome, one obviously has a desire to achieve said outcome, do they not? You can't argue that the risk is not glaringly obvious nor that he doesn't know of same, yet he plunges ahead. THAT defines "intent".

When the mushroom cloud is towering over L.A. or NYNY or Houston, or we're dropping like DU'er's (flies) from some virus, and martial law IS declared, will you STILL feel that he is just a "kind soul" worrying about the "family values" pouring over our borders? I'd love to be wrong on this but indicators say that it is coming and the likes of Tommy Franks say "martial law" afterwards. He HAS to know all this but is choosing to continue to hold US in check while mouthing platitudes. Like the above illustration, that shows foreknowledge (like knowing that person "B" is a brawler and carries a knife for such activity) and an "intent" to harm us by allowing us to get killed.

I have to go with the obvious indicators, NOT my Pollyanna wishes. Among our security services, conservative pundits and military folks, there are plenty of greater minds than I who agree with my thinking. If you choose to watch the world through rose-colored glasses that is your choice (although welding goggles would be a better choice if you're proximal to "ground zero" when the balloon goes up). Thanks for an honest reply though and thanks for NOT being a one-liner. At least you put some thought and effort into your work.

I think it's important to point out the flakey nature of those who soil their pants over administrative misdemeanors, especially seeing that avowed racist organizations are using the immigration debate to further their nefarious and anti-American ends, and that 7.5% of FReepers have voted that all immigration from Mexico should not be allowed.

Thanks. You just handled it for me. In one line, of course......It must be terrrible having a mind that can only stay on track for 5-15 words.

Hey sheethead, the screen name is "Dzzrtrock". Delta Zulu Zulu Romeo Tango Romeo Oscar Charlie Kilo and I am sure that THAT is how you found me here.

Hey everybody, meet a stalker! Sheethead, meet everybody. If you're who I think you are, your stalking from forum to forum is amusing in a lame sorta way, but really, I only date women and "girlie-man" doesn't qualify, so you aren't going to have any luck here either. Ok, you're dismissed .....Go now....Run along....bye bye....

Do you not think that's a personal attack?,

And your point would be? Why is it that I think that Dane, Howlin, cultureless sheethead and PRND21 all showed up here AFTER I did and why is it that your styles of writing are so similar...HMMMM???? The give-away was when you linked me to another forum in hwich you stalked me 'til you got banned.

I think my little stalker opened his mouth one too many times in here and the real identity of one-and-all (as they are most likely all just one person) came out. Ooops!

.................

You sound a little paranoid; perhaps you should check with your doctor about upping your meds.

Slightly related, but more germane to the topic than some of the crap on this thread. "Massive lawlessnes" (all those 'administrative misdemeanors') is going to bury the country unless Congress acts:

Quoting from the link:

"The damage to the rule of law and to overburdened social services is clear if the US continues to tolerate the massive lawlessness of more than 10 million illegal migrants. The Senate mustn't balk at fixing that huge mistake this year.

http://www.csmonitor.com/2005/0214/p08s02-comv.html

In addition, it's no doubt too late for health and disease checks on these illegals, but to continue to allow unchecked border crossings might well be the medical death knell for an untold number of Citizens across the nation ... all for a fistfull of dollars. Just something else to factor in.

'Wan' fries with that, senor?'
