Found an error, when I said Post button, it's the "Host It" button.
Also of the four boxes they give you, you want to cut and paste the stuff from the second one, labeled "Tag"
<<am not sure how Norwegians are "messed up."
<<have a pretty good idea, though, that their older cousins the Swedes need some straightening out.....along with their distant relatives the Dutch and the Poles, and their stray dogs the French and the Germans.
But as for Norway itself, this is only the 29th day of the now-famous Norway ping list, and I have yet to track down a character flaw of theirs. Being human, I am sure Norwegians have a character flaw, but I haven't discovered yet what it is.
Like lutefisk and lefse are void of color, eh? LOL!
I know my family talks funny. They say a lot of stuff like Yah and by golly and you betcha. Lol Most of them have a very strong Norwegian accent. And of course there are the typical Ole and Lena jokes. LOL
LOL. Sort of like hats in certain parts of the world.
You wear them square on your head, you are married. Tilted to the right, single and looking. Tilted to the left, single and not looking. Brim tilted slightly back, widowed in mourning. Brim tilted further back, widowed out of mourning.
Thanks for the photo anniegetyourgun!!
That is so beautiful, I'm awestruck.
The Swedes are very opinionated but I don't really see that in the Norwegians. By the way, has anyone ever heard them called Norsk's?
I never did see the attraction to that stuff. People in Mn still eat the stuff like crazy. Its a staple at every social gathering where there is food. And man, the Norwegians do love their food!
The word you are looking for here is taste. If you roll lefse in butter and sugar - behold! it will taste like butter and sugar.
You see, that's part of the purpose of the Norway ping list, madam.
Too many people are sloppy in their thinking, and tend to lump Scandinavians all together as one big lump, when in fact there's several distinctive differences between them.
Absolutely! The Germans are a lot like the Norwegians but I think thats because they all settled in the same areas and the Germans picked up a lot of the Norwegians traits. BTW, didn't smorgasbord come from the Norwegians?
I had a great aunt who used to say "Yust as soon as ve can afford, we're going to smorgasbord". LOL
I thought the buffet was a Danish invention.
The women look resplendent.
Post #8 - what is that structure?
Essentially, the Norwegians were the Vikings who spread civilization, while the Swedes were the Vikings who spread destruction and death.
The Norwegians--the smallest population in Scandinavia, smaller than many American cities--were eclipsed by their older brothers the Danes from 1340 until 1815, and then suppressed by their older cousins the Swedes from 1815 until 1905.
This is the 100th anniversary of the independence of Norway.
The king and queen of Norway are with George Bush right now, celebrating the event in Washington, D.C.
The pretty girl in post #21 resembles the Bush daughter.
