Death of Communism would mean the death of sin itself. The nature of evil is that it lingers. No sin, once initiated, ever extinguishes in the minds of men the knowledge and means to sin again. Such knowledge is a plague that can go through remission, hibernation, or hiding to resurface centuries later.
What helps our younger and future generations is the ease of acquiring massive media to learn and reference actual historical events. Stalin could perpetuate a lie in his time, but tyrants find such to be extremely difficult today. That's why today's evil lusts for the destruction of the unseen--the microscopic human zygote.
Science and psychology reveal that it's easier to kill when you don't see your victim. Thus, artillery men often suffer less combat stress then those soldiers fighting on the front line. Likewise artillery (and indirect fire) is the big killer on most battlefields. (reference "On Killing" by Grossman, and any history of warfare studies).
Those pushing abortion and embryonic research are feeding a terrible demon. Young souls, not armed like matured adults with Baptism, knowledge, experience, and reason, are most fragile to fear and despair.
Recall that Lenin was the first to legalize abortion.
