Oxen-- I am watching yet another tour de force by Robert kkk Byrd right now---
He is talking about how a 51-49 vote would be unfair if the 51 votes came from the states that have the smallest populations---believe it or not!!!
He said it means that just because the bill or judge has the most SENATORS voting for it/him, doesn't mean that the most POPULATION is voting for it/him---
So now he is advocating running the Senate like the House, with a representative amount of senators?
This man is looney-tunes and how many of us would believe that he would be giving this speech if the Dems were the majority?
Also, wasn't he a one-man filibuster in the 60's to try to keep black people from getting civil rights? If true, then why would it have been okay for ONE MAN from one of the states with lower population be able to define the civil rights for states with the highest populations?
