Last week Michael Medved had some lib guy on his radio show (I wish I could remember his name) that actually said that the ONLY fair minimum wage was $20.00 per hour!!! If they raise minium wage to $20 per hour .. you'll see even more and more companies outsourse jobs to countries like China

The MW was not designed to get families out of debt, or lower the poverty level below what it is now. The MW was started as a means to an entry point into the job market. To get off the MW and still retain a wage, you aspire to move yourself up in the world by moving up to a higher paying salary, and not burden the whole country and the job market by moving up the MW.

I never realized that flagmen and pilot car drivers were white collar workers earning $16.00 to $45.00 an hour.

Boy, Sessions sure is testy about some amendment Schumer proposed.

I only caught part of what Schumer was up to, but it had something to do with abortion clinics and those committing offenses against persons or property. Orin doesn't seem to like it much either.

Next meeting: Wednesday, Mar 9, 2005
9:30 a.m.: Convene and begin a period of morning business.
10:30 a.m.: Resume consideration of S. 256, the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005.
I was looking at the vote this morning and am wondering how they evoked culture and THEN Feingold tried to put his amendment on the bill. Isn't that backwards?
To: OXENinFLA
I'm not an expert on Senate rules
But it sounds backwards to me
