I wish the Bush administration would make an effort to explain this, just this way to Americans and people all over the world, to make sure they get the correlation.

Unfortunately people often hear only what they want to hear. The people over at DU are actually against Lebanese democracy because it reflects positively on Bush policy. They'd rather have the Lebanese suffer under Syrian occupation than have to admit that something in the middle east went right.

I thought they did, repeatedly, over a year while dealing with that irrelevant U.N. Then again, I'm a Freeper and I look for such details. The MSM chose an opposing angle and stuck with it regardless of how irrelevant it was/is. That's part of the reason none of this correlation is reaching the public.
I agree with everything Steyn says in this article. However, I'm a bit more cautious. I don't believe in fast food world reform, which is one reason I despise the short-term memory liberal kooks who do. That said, I like the news we're hearing and realize the region's heading in the right direction.
