Rock didn't do what he was paid to do, which was to be a host. He insulted the Academy, movies in general, and several actors in particular. He was vulgar ("asses" "sucked"), mean, and abrasive. The show itself pandered shamelessly to Blacks (who is Beyonce and why did she sing THREE songs?!). The Bush-bashing was gratuitous, if predictable. This was the lowest I've ever seen the Oscars go, and that's the year counting Whoopi Goldberg hosted.
