Alienating Washington - and for what? (Canada's Liberals' childish anti-Americanism)

I can't resist. I just have to change their writing just a bit.

Not that I'm accusing you personally - since I don't know that you've ever done so - but, it seems that a lot of the people on FR who seldom miss an opportunity to lump all Canadians together, also extend this simplistic hostility to even their own fellow citizens who happen have the misfortune to reside in the so-called "blue states".

Aside from the fact that good conservative values like loyalty and a sense obligation to one's family keeps many of us residing where we do, logically, is it that difficult to accept that those doing all they can to rid themselves of socialist regimes may well detest them even more than those not currently facing this struggle?

Me, I love America and Americans precisely because I know that the vast major of its citizens are the polar opposite of the vile Clintons. Many families have members on both sides of the border just as many have them in both "red" and "blue" states. You've got far more friends up here than you think and why believe our liberal media if it says otherwise when you most likely don't believe your own?

Me too what you said, all my grandkids are Yankee Doodle Dandies. We are seeing the gradual demise of Liberalism in Canada and a new dawn is breaking thanks to the courage of GWB and the American people. Finally, perception is reality to many but the majority of Canadians are not wimps.
