Are those Rosary beads?

probably (rosary beads).

I don't know islamics to use rosary beads, even though I know hindus and particularly buddhists do. but their's are much shorter than christian 'rosary'. probably a christian lebanese (actually my question was if the person were male or female?)

They could be Rosary beads, there are Catholics as well as Eastern Ortodox and Copts in Lebanon.
