Talking to Schumers office, I made the bill a voter issue I was concerned about as an aging Boomer and the lady's tone changed.
What a great approach.
amdgmary, Reid's office had a 5 min or so backlog. I told him I was calling as a concerned Floridian, that Sen. Nelson is trying to work on details, and would he please do his part to get others on board. That seemed to hit a chord -- the aide said he was making note of it, and that Sen. Nelson is a good man.
As DJ says above, our personal individual approaches will hit home with those we talk w/, esp. as couched in prayer moment by moment. Every call has its own good effect for Terri. Best to you, and regards to her family and all there.
Hannity talking about it now

I just called Schumer's and Clinton's DC offices....used the idea of "I'm a baby boomer and would not want to be starved to death, based upon someone's hearsay testimony" to Clinton's office and told Schumer's ofice "I'm a baby boomer and am against the idea of someone being starved to death and would not want that to happen to me." Schumer's office said they would "add me" after they asked what county I lived in. Clinton's office said they'd "let her know" after asking me for my full name and address.
