In any event, Santorum said, and Frist backed him up, that "this will not happen on my watch"...meaning, Terri will not be starved and dehydrated to death on his watch in the U.S. Senate. Let's pray he makes good on that by persuading the others. But would it not take Federal Marshalls or something really extreme on site at Hospice Woodside to back off Greer's LE goons?

I'm not totally sure that Harkin will support it. What he said in my e-mail was "I am sympathetic to the idea of federal court review to ensure that the wishes of the incapacitated person are fully known and being properly carried out." Not a full endorsement, and he could have been (probably was) pandering. But we shall see.
