Stay denied. What else is new? Come on Gov. Bush - get crackin'! Take Terri into protective custody so the DCF can do their investigation.

Cass urges 400,000 to "Contact Tallahassee Now!" To: National Desk

Contact: John Aman, of Coral Ridge Ministries, 954-334-5330, 954-540-8560 cell, CRMNews@crministries.org

FORT LAUDERDALE, March 16 /Christian Wire Service/ -- A national pro-family leader is urging his grassroots network of more than 400,000 people to immediately contact Florida legislators on behalf of Terri Schiavo, a brain-injured but responsive Florida woman.

"The Florida legislature has until Friday at 1 p.m. to pass legislation that will save Terri Schiavo's life," said Dr. Gary Cass, Executive Director of the Center for Reclaiming America. "I am urging our entire grassroots community to call or e-mail lawmakers in Tallahassee today on her behalf."

"The Florida Senate is stalled," said Cass. "I am gravely concerned that the bill will not pass before Friday's deadline. If the feeding tube is removed, Judge Greer may block any attempt to restore food and water to Terri. We must not fail in her defense and in the defense of other vulnerable individuals who may also be subjected to the agony of a prolonged death from starvation and dehydration."

"This is a moment of profound moral consequence for our nation," Cass said. "It is my prayer that our entire online network will answer the call to defend life." More than 147,000 people have signed an online petition for Terri Schiavo that Cass delivered to Governor Jeb Bush in February. The Center for Reclaiming America also cosponsored a "Rose Rally for Terri," Sunday, March 13, in Tallahassee.

Dr. Cass lobbied Florida lawmakers this week and met yesterday with legislators who are pushing HB701, a bill which blocks health professionals from withholding food and water unless a patient has given his "express and informed consent." The measure is before the Florida House and awaits action in a state Senate committee.

To interview Dr. Cass, please contact John Aman at 954.334.5330 or by cell at 954.540.8560.

The Center for Reclaiming America is an outreach of Coral Ridge Ministries, the television and radio ministry of Dr. D. James Kennedy. The Center provides non-partisan, non-denominational information, training, and support to all those interested in positively affecting the culture and renewing the vision of our Founding Fathers, as expressed in America's founding documents. The Center for Reclaiming America is a national grassroots organization with participants in all 50 states.
