I fail to see what your description of Frist is meant to convey. If he is so afraid, and if returning to Tennessee means like he's running away from the spotlight or something...well, think again. He gave a speech in New Hampshire the the other day. It was on C-Span. He was there to garner support for a possible run for the WH in '08. Whatever your view of him as Majority Leader, it is not deniable that he will probably run for President. The idea that he is finished and slinking weakly back to Tennessee is incorrect. By the way, he will support the law designed to give Habeas Corpus rights to Terri and those like her, I feel confident. Someone assumed maybe he wouldn't, simply because a staffer told them on the phone that Frist had not yet taken a position for or against the bill. That was the other day...right after the bill was introduced. Give the man time to see what is in the bill.
Oh, I just read that a poster said that Frist had (and presumably Specter as well) had come out against national legislation for incapacitated persons. If he plans to run for President, he had better develop a "presence" quickly.
Terri doesn't have much time left. If the Republicans piss away what little time is left, Terri's blood is on their hands.
