A doctor from Westchester County called Levin's show and said that he's seen them turning off life support for fully conscious patients. .... He said they have done this for very sick patients to save $$. OMG.

Does a hospital review board make such decisions? LBJ promised us lifetime medical care in 1965. Where is he to deliver this -- he said it would cost a maximum of $9 billion per year.

He said they have done this for very sick patients to save $$. It seems that there is one essential difference between the typical case of pulling a feeding tube (which I still think is bad) and Terri's case: Most of the time they pull the plug because someone is terminal -- expected to die within weeks or months. Terri doesn't fall into that category. That's what makes this something beyond mercy killing -- beyond euthanasia -- it's murder.
