I am just afraid that the DCF will blink. Remember in the Cuban missile crisis, Secretary of State Dean Rusk said: "We were eyeball to eyeball with the enemy (yes, he actually used that horrid word), and the other guy just blinked." George W. Greer now expects the DCF to blink and back down. I surely hope they won't, but state agencies also like to avoid controversy when they can.
If the DCF has no plan for Greer's intransigence, such as protective custody and how to implement it, then there was no sense to them entering the case to begin with. I for one cannot believe that they will let him starve her to death after all they have instigated.
