well this is interesting, if the DCF have their own power, they could have just filed those papers and stated, we are investigating and we will take the full 60 days...but they don't do that, they are asking for a ruling. They play strange games down in Florida.
DCF may have done the smart thing by giving Greer a chance to grant them the 60 days. Now, DCF looks courteous and, if they take Terri into custody, they dodge being charged with having acted "recklessly".
I think out of respect for the jurisdiction of court they filed to intervene.
If Greer says "forget you", then they have other means.
It is only if the smell a rat like we all do and put her in protective custody.
Then we wouldn't have the satisfaction of watching Greer self destruct.
