RE 3741----Greer can and does overrule the law BUT, that is their statutory mandate to conduct such an investigation and there is case law precedent at 2nd DCA that a judge cannot interfere in a legislative mandate---that's legislating from thebench again and violation of separation of powers doctrine---but then we all know that Greer thinks he's above the law
passing time here...
We talked to my son today for the first time since he left for Africa. he is in the Peace Corps getting trained in Health Education.
He received an assignment and got to visit the village where he will be spending the next 2 years. It was so good to talk with him. He loves the Peace Corps and re-affirmed it was the right thing for him to do.
It was so good to talk with him. I miss him, but he is an adult now, he went to college 4 states away and then spent a semester abroad on a ship and circumnavigated the globe, so he has been away really since he was 19, but this is for 2 years and with the lack of communication, no phones or internet it jsut seems different to me.
Oh yeah he let is slip that he had to bike 70 kilometers to get to his village because there was no transportation. He has already had malaria and has lost 10lbs, but he still LOVES the Peace Corps.
