How come no one ever shows the pictures of her lying there, in a vegetative state, for 99.9999% of the past 15+ years? Instead, all there is are a few stills from a few videos that are meant to deceive people into thinking that she reacts like this all day, every day.
Are you one of Terri's caregivers? What makes you think that you know more than the rest of us how Terri reacts every day?
I can tell you for sure that I don't Know how she reacts, but that these pic and videos show that she is alive and reactive and deserves a chance and proper therapy.
They don't show any other pictures of her because her "dear husband" filed suit to prevent any more tapes or pics from being taken. I am sure if the pic's showed evidence in his favor he would have them plastered all over the place.
Someone who is vegetative 99.9% of the time and alert 0.1% of the time is not PVS.
The fact that she REACTS is cause enough to fight for her survival.
I am heartily sick of people who want this woman dead because she's handicapped. That is hateful prejudice of the worst order.
IMO, I don't think those videos decieve one bit. Even if she did sit in a Vegetative state and for one minute of the day she smile at someone than she is alive!
I'd like to know why the tv news only shows one video of Terri, when there are so many other videos that show her when she is much more animated.
I visit my dad in a nursing home, and sometimes he is sleeping, sometimes he is groggy because of the meds, and sometimes he laughs at my bad jokes.
