Regarding the Terri Schiavo case, its interesting to me that the same whining crybabies who defend every convicted killer whos been sentenced to death under the guise that killing them is inhumane have nothing to say about an innocent woman whos set to be starved to death.
I guess if Schiavo had murdered a few people and the state was preparing to do to her what her husband wants done, then wed have some outrage from the anti-death penalty crowd. But no, shes just a disabled person who needs care, so the usually loud and obnoxious liberals are silent. Or even worse, these phonies support the husbands side.
Myself, I believe in the death penalty, but only for people whove been tried by a jury of their peers, convicted and sentenced to die. I dont support selfish men starving their disabled wives to death.
But I do have an interesting proposal. Since the ACLU and certain judges have decided that a man can legally deny his wife food and water, in effect starving her to death, then I propose that we handle all death row cases in this manner.
In other words, when the people on death row have exhausted their appeals, lets just cut off all food and water to them. Since pro-euthanasia advocates claim that denial of food and water is a painless way to go, then it cant possibly be cruel and unusual punishment. No more electrocution, lethal injections, firing squads or hangings. Just stop feeding them and giving them water.
If Michael Schiavo is allowed to starve his wife to death, and the bleeding heart liberals who have so much concern for lab animals and snail darters have nothing to say in opposition, then I say weve got the green light to go ahead and start killing death row inmates this way also.
