The other great thing about Berkeley was that you could go into lunch places, as a young single coed and get a table and have others join you, or join people at their tables. Then, just enjoy a nice a meal with good company and leave, none of this big deal 'relationship maintence' which is all so important here, or be isolated, literally.

Ok Ok, the real key is that I was young, beautiful, and care free then.

Be well!

I loved Berkeley as a kid. Not for love or money have I gone there for years. The places oozes ectoplasmic goo.

And I remember the Berkeley Campus of the mid70s. Believe or not, it was a really lovely and relatively safe place for a youngster to hang out. And like you wrote; sit at a table alone, and find lots of friendly people to visit with. it's so different there, now.

You are still young, beautiful, and carefree. Laughter and Joy are ageless!
