The Hillary 2008 push is in full force. A full three years and eight months will pass before the 2008 presidential elections but it's never too early to begin to attempt to rebuild Hillary Rodham Clinton's liberal image. The extreme makeover is on, and the left is out in full force. Hubby Bill believes that if she did run and she was able to win, she'd make a very, very good president," Clinton said Sunday. "I think now she's at least as good as I was."
That's comforting.
Andrew Sullivan chimes in as well:
Senator Clinton has finally escaped one of the critical drags on her national reputation. What many people disliked about her was what they perceived as her unreconstructed liberal politics and her use of her marriage to gain and wield political power.
But in 2005 Senator Clinton has recast herself in the public mind as a centrist and she has won election in her own right. That changes everything. Or perhaps more accurately it changes a lot.
That's sweet, but New York and the American voter are worlds apart on the issues that drive voters to the polls.

However, when I hear Ellen Ratner telling me that Hillary is "too conservative for her," I just have to laugh.
I know there are people who are swayed by this stuff (including one of my sisters) BUT I also think that we should laugh and press on. Refuting her "conservatism" should be easy, ans should be done without personal attacks. She is a good opponent, but she isn't immune to criticism.
It's scary that she will do ANYTHING to be president. She's got 7 minus years to transform herself into whatever she NEEDS to be. Just like the Devil.
Bill Clinton on Hilary as President: "I think now she's at least as good as I was."
Damned with faint praise. It's over - relax - she's done.

Our best bet is to employ a pre-emptive strike. She must be defeated in her bid to keep her Senate seat.
He sure wouldn't be the First Gentleman.
He'll always be the first scumbucket in my book.
You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
I think that's the key.
Hillary is nothing more than a two-bit whore and were I given the opportunity, I would say so to her face.
We have to face the fact that either she will be the nominee (with the backing of the media) OR the Rats will nominate someone who is even better at this centirst malarkey, like Evan Bayh.
I don't care how moderate a democrat is or how much they pretend to be, the fact is that they will be drawing from a liberal pool for cabinet appointments. I think this should be a central question to all of the rats: list some acceptable nominees for Justice, State, and Defense. The answers will tell the tale.
Well, yeah, if you set the bar that low!!! Who isn't at least as good as Clinton was?
Extreme makeover? That's misleading. I was expecting a story about a plastic surgeon taking a chainsaw to her ass.
Wouold it make him the First Husband (or First Man) !?

Probably 'The First Lady Biter' ("Ummm... ya better put some ice on that" !!! ;-))

I hope you're right re: Senate race. However, I think she's just arrogant enough and greedy enough to hang on to the access and contributions that come with the position. Both she and Bill have that inability to do what is a wiser choice whenever it involves their ego (in Bill's case) or greed (in her case).
We shall see.....
But he would be back ..amongst the young interns who
will hang on his every word. Jake
That's what the GOP will get for not pursuing crimianl investigation and charges against her
Hillary Clinton is an ultra-left wing Marxist radical who would be the USA's first communist president.
