What's the ultimate goal?

The ultimate goal is: 1)If this letter is suspected to be a fraud - we should be Just as anxious to research this as we were to bust the suspicious claims/videos/memos regarding Pres. Bush, the war, kidnapped doll, etc.
2) If this letter IS a fraud - we should be Just as anxious to expose it, as we were the Rather memos, etc.

If we can't police ourselves at any time(be they FReepers, other right-wing organizations and/or individuals) then we are not worth consideration when we police others.

If we do not do something about this, the Left will. MSM will broadcast that this fraud was started by ultra-right Conservatives, blah, blah, blah...And we will again - be put in the defensive position.

We Rarely win when in a defensive posture.

We need to take the Offensive position and snoop out this letter and expose it OURSELVES if we are ever to have respect and credibility.

That is the point. I sure hope we have as many on here who realize the rules go both ways- turn about, fair play, etc. I would not like it to be a fraudulent letter. But I would sure prefer it if we could squelch it before it becomes a huge issue.

As I said before, I have many suspicious: No date, hand delivered, no full inside address. When you read the letter it appears to have been written by someone with obvious intelligence about the matter, and who writes quite well. The manner is very precise, detailed, exact. A person who pays such attention to detail, and has elaborated events with such clarity, in IMHO, would have put a complete date, a full inside address, and would not have marked "Hand delivery" on the letter itself. That aspect is out of character with the preciseness of the body.

Also, if the intent of the letter was to reprimand the Clintons for not telling the truth, and if this person deemed that important - then: Why take it in secret to her? Why didn't he just have it published in the NYT or something? He wants to have it known that he does not like their tatics, but now he has only become part of another secret.

Did he write it and then distribute it so that there would be this contraversy? That also seems out of line with how he purports to feel about scams, etc.

So, it is my suspicion that someone else actually created it.

My more important thought still stands, however, that the story behind the letter is the one that needs attention. Yes, that Rather theme: The letter may be false, but the lawsuit is the truth!LOL!
