The Armies of the Homeless™, stirred by news of Bush's re-election, begin their dreaded march across the media!

Read the story...this is hardly a tale about someone hurting cause of politics.

Homeless by Choice™, would be more appropriate

And Thank you to the media for giving these young people the idea that their happiness could be found in the glitz of Las Vegas.

Hmmm..

age 14-18, means children of Xers.

Kinda undoes that "we are unselfish" banner the Xers like to wave.

But I knew better anyhow. And it is big fun watching Xers crash and burn as they try to advance their career and find that when everyone gets a ribbon that you don't learn how to compete.

The media use the homeless as props during Republican administrations. Hear much about the homeless during the Clinton years?

He says his foster father was a good man who offered to support him if he chose college over music. Unwilling to give up his guitar, Stone quit high school and began life on the street.

I feel sorry for the kid for the rough childhood that he had and his abandonment by his loser mother. But he was offered a second chance by a foster father that obviously cared about him and he threw it away.

While there can be no denying that his birth mother and original upbringing were horrid to say the least, he was given another chance with a man who obviously cared about him and he chose to walk away from it. He is now reaping what he sowed and I don't feel sorry for him.

Sounds like his difficulties in life are mostly of his own making. How many college kids go to class in the day and play a local club at night and on the weekends? He could've done that, but he just wanted what he perceived as a quick fix to his emotional problems: a big payday and stardom in Hollywood.

Had he succeeded and was wealthy, he'd be just as miserable; the only difference would be the size of his bank account.

In spite of that, there are homeless during all administrations...and your knee-jerk comment only perpetuates the thinking that it is political. You seem to be wanting to connect this to Bush. Maybe you are living your tagline a little too much.

Now Stone is broke and doesn't know anyone except the few friends he smokes pot with as they roam the streets.

Always seems to be enough money for some pot, right?

I'm not connecting this to Bush, but the liberal news media will. AP had a similar story yesterday. Do you pay attention much?

That's what got me. Zero sympathy for his plight.

Strange...must be a Madonna fan.

Do you?

This story is not about increased taxes, or slower economy and the results on the homeless. This is a story about loser teens making bad choices. There are many stories that try to link societies problems to the administration, this simply is not one of them

Your desire to be slighted by this article is akin to a liberal looking to be offended at some percieved insult. Keep looking and let me know where this article says anything ill about the administration?

Um, made stupid choices and rejected the opportunities presented you?

Has anyone ever seen the Three Stooges episode where Larry (himself an accomplished musician) walks, ragged and downtrodden, into a restaurant with his violin, and asks the manager for a gig? The manager asks him what he charges. He says that he usually gets $40 an hour. To which the manager replies, "I'll give ya a bowl of soup ... if you're good." He takes it.
