I actually think Maureen Dowd was pretty mellowed out today. Safire must have slipped her a quaalude.
She was laying low, almost cool.
Maureen just now on here....her dress is definitely a very dark red. Looks like she's wearing large shoulder pads....a Joan Crawford fashion no-no.
