I felt it in W. Los Angeles.
A sharp jolt, then I looked and sure enough, I didn't imagine it, we had a small earthquake.

But it was interesting that it was felt as far as the coastal area of Los Angeles.
Usually we don't feel earthquakes of this magnitude this far.
I just hope it's not a pre-shock for a bigger one.

After the Loma Prieta quake, I knew I'd never be in a major one again in my life. It is in all of your best interests to keep me going.

Why are some of the fault lines shown in red and others in yellow?
To: FairOpinion
2.9????
Michael Moore falling off his bar stool would cause a larger jolt than that.
To: Prince Charles
Red are named faults; orange are unnamed faults.
To: Prince Charles
"Red lines are known faults (orange lines are unnamed faults). "
And the blank lines are faults that haven't even be discovered yet. ;)
I do think there are so many faults under LA, that there probably are quite a few undiscovered ones.
But the known ones are enough.
