The only way evolution can keep from being discredited is to block alternative theories. They do that by trying to link them to the "supernatural" so that they are removed from "scientific" review. They don't try to logically follow the evidence.
"ID is a hypothesis. Evolution is a theory."
Both are hypotheses, and the stunning lack of evidence for evolution is evidence for ID.
