It's a tough call for Keyes as whatever he does will look bad, and Maya really forced the situation by going public. These things take time to work out. That's what the Cheney's had, and Keyes didn't.
To deal with such an issue is difficult enough, but to address the problems as it's being aired in the public arena must be so much more heartwrenching. The media could give a rip about the entire Keyes family. They're just using this as an opportunity to further their political agenda in painting conservatives as heartless hypocrites. I'm not buying it.
