I wouldn't foot her bill at university either. But I wouldn't disown my own flesh and blood unless they posed a danger to me or my family.

Disowning isn't a full denial of familial relationship. It is equivalent to excommunication by the Church of the unrepentant sinner, whereby the unrepentant sinner is cast out of the Church and denied it's protection and benefits, all meant to bring that sinner to repentance.

If it wasn't for Keyes public profile she would be just another bull-dyke talking perverted nonsense. Keyes cannot maintain a zero tolerance position against homosexuality and
at the same time tolerate this type of behavior in his own household. That's called hypocrisy.

Similar to so-called pro-life politicians like Mccain who are against abortion unless it's his own daughter that wants one.

When I turned 18, I was out of the house and on my own. My parents insisted on it. I went to work, got an education on my own dime and talents, and never begrudged my parents' perspective and decision. Do you believe they disowned me? I don't. I believe they were just doing their part to ensure I became a responsible, self-reliant adult.

Maya Keyes is a headstrong adult. Her parents are allowing her to live as one. That's good and wise, not bad and unchristian.

Maybe he's letting her get a taste of the real world which most liberals have a hard time dealing with.I think that's the main reason we see so many liberal college professors. If she wants to broadcast her queer liberal lifestyle let her do it on her own dime.

Ditto. I also would not disown blood unless they tried to take out another family member (and i mean life not political standing).

Ah, come on guys. They're sitting at home laughing how they got that university to foot her school bill. It's so easy to scam liberals.

Under normal circumstances I wouldn't either. However this girl is being used as a tool by the homosexual lobby and is going straight AT her father. She has to know it. Her coming out is making her family the issue.

I probably wouldn't still disown her but I don't know what all is going on here. Whatever it is the homosexual lobby is using her as a tool against the rest of society.
