I have heard a whole lot of sermons against drunkeness, but...
I have never seen a Drunk pride week or Drunk pride parade, nor have I seen a public school that had seminars teaching students to accept and promote drunkeness.

I don't know where you went to school, but here drunkeness doesn't need to be promoted. It seems to be pretty well accepted as well.
