Just came to this thread but don't have time to read all the 300+ posts, but here is my thought.
We do not really know the details, therefore it is unfair to castigate either side. Here is what I believe a Christian father should do and what Keyes MAY have done: "I will always love you. However I cannot in good conscience continue to support you in this lifestyle. You are an adult now and you have chosen your own way. It is time to let you go. You may not see this as a loving decision, but it is."
