Good passage, but you left out the parallel passage in Luke 17:3-4;
3Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you,[a] rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you,[b] saying, "I repent,' you shall forgive him."
God does not forgive the unrepentant sinner, and neither are we required to forgive the unrepentent. We can love them and have a forgiving spirit that is eager to forgive, but forgiveness is a 2 way street. The offending party must first realize they have sinned against you and repent before genuine forgiveness can be extended. Unless you think you are more loving and more moral than God.
AHHHH...You mean we should read the scriptures in CONTEXT??
Wow, what a concept...
;-)
Great post!
Thanks for that post...but I don't see where it says that you should kick them out of your house or disown them.
AAAAAAAAAmen! Brother!
