There are a lot of emotions being expressed on this thread. People are engaged, and that's good. Although I do wish individuals could refrain from namely calling(I've been guilty of that myself).
I'm of the opinion that the grey area is irrelevant. Try to recognize the issue for what it is, and if you can gain insight that will help you understand issues and/or individuals more fully, and improve yourself than this information was not gained in vain. Whether you are a Christian or not. Ultimately, there has been a lot of truth spoken here with regard to our relationship with Christ. That is the most important area one should hope to grow in.
Thanks for your response.
I try to ignore the flaming tones of the more emotionally involved posters, but I do get irritated when the only sins mentioned are ones the posters are unlikely to commit. I don't see comments on adultery, yet that is right up there with murder in the Ten Commandments.
I am also not confident that the lines I ususally see interpreted as condemning lesbianism (Romans 1:26 and 27) actually do so. Whan I read various translations I can see it as allowing anal intercourse, an exact parallel to what is being condemned in men.
