Keyes has cut off his relationship with his own daughter because of surface political differences and lifestyle objections-- what a damn shame. All I can say is that he really must not have cared much for her before this particular public incident if he is willing to destroy such a sacred relationship over such a shallow purpose.

I never, NEVER let a visit to a family member pass without telling them I I Love them and that I will always be there for them so long as I draw a breath on this planet; Keyes would be well-served to do the same. No ammount of petty grudges and political differences can mean anything to a man on his death bed. May the Lord allow Keyes a chance to put this right before that which comes for all of us comes for him.

I usually respect Alan Keyes, and I even supported him to a degree in the 2000 Presidential Primaries (thought he'd make a great Veep at the time). Not here though...not this time.

Some of you refuse to read what his daughter has to say. They have not stopped communicating with or loving their daughter. She knows they love her. They have not disowned her; they are just not funding her lifestyle choices. SHE made that choice. She knew her parents are Christians and cannot embrace her lifestyle. They still love HER and she knows it. Please go back and read what she said about the whole thing, not what that rag The Guardian has to say.
