NBC News reporter Campbell Brown reports that Jeff Gannon's troubles with the liberal media "started when he was called on by the President at a January 26 news conference and took a swipe at Democrats" with a loaded question. In an interview, Campbell pressed Gannon with her own loaded question: "You don't deny you were writing news with a perspective, with a partisan perspective?" It was as if Brown was implying that other members of the White House press corps would never even think of approaching the news in such a manner. Brown also asked several questions about whether Gannon was linked to pornographic websites or homosexuality.
If these questions are appropriate for Gannon, why not the rest of the White House press corps? Watching the "Gannongate" scandal continue to unfold, blogger Daniel J. Phillips suggests that the White House send out a questionnaire to members of the media and news organizations that reflects "the matters that find them in such breathless anxiety" when it comes to Gannon.

The Boston Phoenix, a counter-culture publication, has taken the anti-Gannon campaign to a new low, citing a left-wing blog as reporting "rumors" about an unnamed "high-ranking, married White House aide who may or may not have had a homosexual affair with Gannon" and who "may or may not" have provided Gannon with a confidential document about CIA employee Valerie Plame. There is no evidence cited for any of this, but that doesn't seem to matter at this point.

Bravo! Your response to the poster was good. I wonder however, how soon it will be before some freakin bureacrat proposes a "litmus" test for bloggers? Or even to post or comment upon a thread.. Pay per post?
I would do the journalist part...maybe skip the Liberty School of Journalism.
That's what I meant! I'd apply daily for a pass, journo "credential" or not. I routinely visit the WH home page in order to read, word for word, what is being said. And then I get to see what the MSM "reports", ugh. It makes their biases so obvious. And here they are twitchin' about Jeff Gannon throwing a "softball" at the President? Yeah.. lol! Let's all revisit the Clinton Presidency years... and the drooling and fawning of the same journalists who declared they'd give him head, do anything for him... yuck.
Thanks for that clarification. On my point re: his past, I stand corrected.
Articles that have been written were done so in a way to lead people to believe it was an ongoing thing. Unless you'd read that story I posted, you couldn't have known. I bet quite a few missed it as only DU reads Raw Story. blech! ;-)
I was just looking at a 3 part DU thread that has Gannon in the CIA and assumes he was a capturd sex slave as a child or something like that ..I guess Bush had him enslaved (I cannot follow it) Psychiatrists are needed over there
Gannon is a cause celebre, here at FreeRepublic, because he is one of us, and he was doing a good job for Talon News. None of us knew anything about his past, nor do we care. Jeff Gannon's past has nothing to do with his reporting. What the left did to Gannon was unconscionable. They took the politics of personal destruction to a new, low, all because he dared to challenge Democrat politics. The left has morals, no center and no goals, except to obstruct, tear down and destroy.
Have you ever read the threads where they talk about what drugs they're taking? LOL!!
You read the DUmmie FUnnies right? There's one woman who has 2 psychologists and 1 psychiatrist and she still needs help.
Thank God I became a Republican in my 20's!
Here is the DU thread:

if someone can decipher it I would be grateful
Uh..........you'll have to print it out and take it to a mental ward, I think. Whatever they were talking about concerned, Gannon, gays, Bush, Poppy Bush and churches and half the population is going to end up in jail. But I'm not sure why.
MODO never applied for a daily pass like the one "Jeff Gannon received.
Right: She didn't.
That two day course sounds exhausting, doesn't it?
If the sales material hadn't called it "intense", I might think it was a joke or something.
Where did you read he was moonlighting as an escort at the same time he was in the White House?
