I thought Rader's wife was taken into custody for questioning, not arrested?

I apologize for my part in perpetuating the false story. I thought when the link was provided up thread it had been established to be related and so commented about it and then very quickly realized it was misinformation.

It looks like he won't be eligible for the death penalty because it was reinstated in 94 and now they are having a moratoriam or some kind of legal challenge going on.

Denny Rader at work, dog catching..

I'd put a 5 spot on the notion that Rader started working at animal control in the mid 1980's and transferred his sickness into torture of stray animals. Yep.
...animal CONTROL. The sicko liked tying people up before strangling them -- having power and control over them, before the killing and sexual release.

That Kansas.com thread reporting Rader has a son serving in Iraq.
To: cyncooper
We researched that one last night cyn. But I could not connect it to the person of interest.
Freeper Palladin was monitoring a Wichita Kansas board, plus talking with friends or acquaintances that live in the area, who he states informed him that the Opry Ocean thingy has no connections.

The perp gets as many of his jollies from being able to pull one over on the authorities as he does from the actual killing...Little god syndrome! I'm more powerful than the people with power. He started out studying for a law enforcement job. Wannabe LEO ends up as a dog catcher. Looks like his ego couldn't handle his failure (rejection?), and he struck back at both society and the authorities.

The DA that was on the press conference and will be prosecuting the case said that the death penalty wasn't an option since KS didn't have one when these murders occurred.... And some crimes have a two year limitation in KS but not homicide... so their charges against Rader will limited to homicide as I understood what she was saying... However there maybe some recent stuff related to the mailings of materials, etc that could be used since he resurfaced not too long ago since it would fall within the two year time frame.... [speculation on my part about the latter]

Someone who knows that R family said if you find more about them (the singing ones) that you'll see the ages are 10+ years off (with singing DR being younger than arrested DR) and that he is good friends with the family, etc. (the singing ones)...that's all based on someone over on kansas.com but from what I could find, it does appear they are different R families. If that helps...?

This deal with the wife puzzles me. Was she trying to conceal or cover up evidence?

MOTHER NOW ARRESTED?
Interesting claim.....may be legit or it may just be some sicko posting false info on a board.
It will get out to the media soon if true.
