The guy just admitted that he's a drug felon

I don't think so. I believe steroids were still legal in those days, and Schwarzenegger has stated he took them under the direction of a doctor.

Probably dumb, but a felony, no.

That is correct. Anabolic steroids did not become a controlled substance until 1990 or so. When Arnold was using them it was quite easy to get a Dr's prescription for them

The point of your post is that you were using the governor of the state of California's drug use as a humorous prop for his alleged efforts at "cleaning up" California government. Regardless of the limp attempt at humor, the real point is that you gloss over the fact that the guy admitted to it well after the election, and apparently doesn't want to express any regrets.

If you think it's trivial, I beg to disagree.

BTW, Arnold's drug use in the early 70's was well known among body builders. And it wasn't limited to androgynous anabolic steroids. A lot of them didn't care - because they were "on the sauce" as well - but the real bodybuilders of that era did. Guys like Boyer Coe, Bill Pearl, Casey Viator. I would say Sergio Oliva as well, but I heard he occasionally indulged, although that's an allegation. Anyway, a lot of people made it in the biz without resorting to chemical assistance. Too bad Arnold didn't.

I gloss over nothing - but, as a Californian watching his state go straight down the toilet, I am far more concerned about THAT than I am with Arnold's past history. You can pick on Arnie all you want, but if you want to bash politicians, try Clinton, with HIS DRUG ABUSE (try cocaine instead of steroids), his treason, his purjery, his other felonies, etc. Arnie now has the job of cleaning up California...let's see if he does his job.

Ill repeat this for those who havent seen it: all your favorite baseball and football players use steroids. Most other athletes have used them also. Most actors have used them at some point. Get used to it.

My older sister, an angry commie who is a teacher in Calif., told me that Arnold CUT education. I looked it up on the internet, he did NOT cut education, he increased spending per student K-12. I sent her the article. She also kept going on and on about Bush and No Child Left Behind. I reminded her that Uncle Teddy co-authored that bill. She acted like she didn't know that. I found it online and sent her an article about Teddy co-authoring that bill. She has had no further comment on either so far. I also sent her articles about Clinton's rapes. Her Boy Bill.

Me too sweetie. That's why I was active in the recall a long time before Arnie jumped in. And as far back as 1999 in the first recall effort, which you probably don't even know about. Ask AntaresEquity.

I heard somewhere that steroid abuse can cause your manly parts to "atrophy" (shrivel up like rasins).

I lifted weights for 6 months straight when I was younger. No effect. Nature meant for me to be a skinny guy and it REALLY meant it.

Steroid abuse goes against nature.
