It was power play of a different kind at the dinner thrown by agriculture minister Sharad Pawar for Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton on Friday evening. Some 50 of Indias corporate cream and political heavyweights who congregated at the ministers tastefully decorated residence to sup on Dum Pukht delights amid candlelight and pastel roses came away enchanted by the lady who is preceded by her formidable reputation.
Many of us have run into her at Davos before, said one guest, There she seemed preoccupied but here she was so different utterly relaxed, charming and attentive. Indeed, the ebullient tourism minister Renuka Chaudhary was one of those who got a taste of the Clinton charm as the senator said, I saw you on TV talking about promoting India...
Your enthusiasm is so infectious! I have a suggestion: why dont you ask every NRI visiting here to bring a friend along?

Hillery has the charm of a non-sedated root canal.
She's there looking for High Tech money for 2008 ... nothing more.
Come on, New Yorkers, you gotta get her out of the Senate in '06.
hey, this pic of Faith is welcome on any thread!

Cobra-esque...be afraid, be very afraid.
Is this in honor of the ex-co president. I figure it's an Indian dish, but looks more like a typo by someone hooked on phonics, considering the guest list.

She has never had, and will never have, charm.
She is a cold, calculating she-devil.
Agreed. Who are they kidding?
Hillary has the libs swooning by uttering the magic phrase, while shaking her finger: " I did not have sex with that woman, Monica Lewinsky "
----Come on, New Yorkers, you gotta get her out of the Senate in '06.----
You know you're saying that to the people that voted for Chuckie S.
I'd be happy to say NYers are getting what they deserve, but they are afflicting us with their idiot judgement.
