I'm a liberal, and I like to read Ann Coulter. I disagree with her a lot, but she's funny and snarky and completely forthright with her opinions. She's one of my favorite columnists to read when I just want the straight story without the word games and nuances that most writers on politics use. I used to think that her and Ted Rall would be the perfect pair of columnists to write head-to-head, but ever since President Bush was elected in 2000, Ted Rall has been losing the edge of humor that made him worthwhile, and 2004 I think just pushed him past the point of no return. So I don't even know if there's anyone left on the left to match her humor and "call a spade a spade" style.
Hey munch -- thanks for a coherent and thoughtful post from a self-described liberal. They are rare here. Perhaps you are a "liberal" in the classic sense. At any rate, welcome to FR. I look forward to your posts, discourse and disagreement ;-).
BTW, the author starts out with a false premise "Ann Coulter hates liberals with an undying passion". No she doesn't "HATE" liberals. She depsises their hypocrisy, the lies, the disingenuosity (if that is a word ) etc etc., but she has NEVER to my knowledge expressed "hatred". Anger, scorn and ridicule sure; but not hated of the individuals. Let's keep to the truth here.
Impossible. You seem too nice and intelligent. However, liberals do lie so maybe you aren't but claim you are (isn't that what I said in the first place) or, ...Heck, I'm too confused to go on.
True, true....Many times she may be over the top. But I LOVE the way she makes libs start to foam at the mouth
But with each and every passing day do you ask yourself:
"D@mmit -- am I really a lib? Aren't Freepers "my" people? ;-)
