Charles Krauthammer: Leaving Gaza

WASHINGTON -- On Sunday, Feb. 20, Israel crossed two Rubicons. The Cabinet decided once and for all to withdraw from Gaza and dismantle 25 settlements -- 21 in Gaza and 4 in the upper West Bank. Yet, had Israel done only this, it would be seen, correctly, as a victory for terror, a unilateral retreat and surrender to the four-year intifada. That is why the second Israeli decision was so important. The Cabinet also voted to finish the security fence on the West Bank, which will separate Israeli and Palestinian populations, and create the initial border between Israel and a nascent Palestine.

I call em as I see em. People need to be reminded of Krauthammer's spiteful anti-Mel Gibson column-- because a columnist shouldn't be allowed to spout anti-christian bigotry (or anti-semitism, or racism) and then have it go down the memory hole.

You are an anti-semite. And I will NOT let you give the impression to lurkers that Krauthammer is what you say he is. It's dishonest in the extreme.

It's not me who's giving them that impression. It's his own words - - in that column. When people read it, they're shocked. That's probably why it's been pulled from Townhall.com, as one freeper noted.

And so he wrote ONE column out of thousands and you are going to SPAM every single column he writes from hereon in?

You've been doing it for weeks now.

And, just to counter your BS, I am going to follow your threads on this matter and ping everyone you write to about Krauthammer and let them know how he stood up for Christianity against the ACLU during the Christmas season and your contention that he's anti-Christian is a lie and that you are an anti-semite.

So keep it up. I'm retired and have plenty of time.

That's right. And I'm going to make sure people don't forget what he wrote. Jesse Jackson only said "Hymietown" in public one time, but that was enough to show where his heart is.

Don't let Churchillbuff's lies about Krauthammer fool you.

The man wrote ONE article out of thousands that the Neville Chamberlain of FR considers to be anti-Christian.

What he doesn't tell you is that Krauthammer wrote articles and spoke publicly on FNC condemning the ACLU for trying to take Christ out of Christmas. Krauthammer was the most major columnist to stand up for Christianity that I've ever seen, especially this last Christmas.

Churchillbuff is spamming all the Krauthammer threads and has behaved like the anti-semite I believe he is.

You're an anti-semite.

And I disagree with you about Krauthammer's article anyway. So did lots of freepers at the time. But then, you are usually on the wrong side of history on almost everything.

Maybe that's the bottom line. If you agree with his hateful column, then we'll just have to agree to disagree. I've heard that Mel Gibson is an occasional lurker on FR. I so, I'll bet he's not unhappy that I make a mission of reminding people how vile Krauthammer was toward him -- and how Krauthammer has never apologized.

Oh, bull.

Keep spamming. Keep lying. Don't admit that Krauthammer was the biggest supporter of Christians during the holiday.

You're a disgrace and an anti-semite.

You talk about me the same way Krauthammer wrote about Mel Gibson - with venomous hatred and slanders. I guess I should be honored - Jesus said we'd be persecuted for standing up for him. I stand up for the Gospels (against charges that the Gospels are hate speech), and I get slandered by the likes of you. It's a badge of honor for a Christian to speak out against bigotry, and get smeared by a bigot like Peach!

I will also pray for him, that his heart is opened to the true nature of the Gospel, and the true spirit of the those who have chosen to follow the Christ.

As will I, as I also believe that Mr Krauthammer is "a very intelligent, very articulate, and critical thinker." I respect his opinion deeply because of that. God can use people like him....reminds me of Saul, later Paul, an outspoken and passionate man, who later became a most godly and wise leader.

If you are going to hijack a thread away from political discussion of present time to your tantrum about Mel Gibson and his movie review the least you could do is supply a link.

However I searched FR and read that article that you posted several months back. Just because Krauthammer wrote a column that you don't agree with doesn't mean that this or other columns he writes aren't insightful and worthwhile.

In your effort to attribute devious motives to Krauthammer you raise logical questions as to your own motives on this and any other thread that you so diligently hijack and spam.

I'll continue to read and listen to Krauthammer because 98% of what he says I agree with. And the other 2% I'll chalk up to his and my right to have differing opinions.

sheesh

Well, I see you are up to your usual tricks. Trashing threads, attacking people, stirring up trouble, and making the thread all about YOU.

I consider your posting manners lacking, and I consider your attacks on Krauthammer appalling. I remember his column on the Gibson movie. I disagreed with it and was disappointed in him, but on the other hand I am not Jewish and don't have 2000 years of pogroms in my family's heritage. I choose to believe he regretted his harsh words, as was demonstrated by his defense of Christians against the ACLU this past Christmas.

Frankly, if Mel Gibson does post here, I don't give a darn. He could maybe learn something about all those Hollywood people he makes money with...like his good buddy Danny Glover, an out-and-out communist. I don't know that Mel Gibson has been nominated for sainthood, unless you have some information that is new.

Krauthammer has flaws, as does Gibson. Knock off spamming the threads with this diatribe, or I will ask that the Moderators speak to you.

Good grief, churchillbuff, you need some bufferin! Your probably don't realize that you're FALSLEY slandering one of FR's most renowned posters. Like I said, go home and take a couple of bufferins and hide out in the morning. Even if your headache disappears, you might want to....

I just read Krauthammer's "Gibson's Blood Libel"

. I fail to get as much of a rise out of it as you have, churchill. What I see is a man who may be feeling shame/guilt over a past he cannot fix or rectify, that many of his people feel responsible for having allowed. What I saw was his comparison to German Christians and Catholics, including the Pope, for allowing what happened to the Jews. By "allow" I mean either standing by and doing nothing, cheering it on, turning a blind eye, remaining silent. Many Germans feel ashamed to this day about what happened during the Holocaust, and their country's role in such an atrocity. I think Krauthammer was responding out of his humanness. And I will continue to pray for him, that he may understand that the Gospels do not single out the Jews for being responsible for Christ's death....as far as his comment about the devil circling around the Jews...I agree with him. I believe that the devil was circling around the German Christians/Catholics....just as much as I believe that the devil is circling around Terri Schaivo with the pro-death squad. Events change, it's just we humans do not see and do not understand the evil nature behind the events.
