I don't understand how this sort of thing happens.
How do someone just walk into your house and grab one of your children?
I don't get it.
Prayers.
I don't understand either but I hope they find her unharmed.
Prayers for the little girl and her family.
I don't know about this one, but something stinks.
Fox News:
She's found! In Ohio being debriefed.
Correction:
In continuing to listen......questioning MOTHER in Ohio. Child NOT found. Sorry.
Absolutely heartbreaking. I don't suppose this little girl got up and wondered out on her own. Whatever happened I hope the authorities find her soon safe and sound.
Looks like another sick SOB at work. When will this ever stop.
The victim's family is being unfairly vilified. The front door was found unlocked, that doesn't mean it wasn't locked before the grandparents retired. The abductor probably unlocked it from the inside to exit the home. Nobody knows how he got in.
As far as the dog not barking...well, I heard on FoxNews, that the grandparents said that this dog had a habit of burrowing itself under a pile of blankets while asleep at nite....If the dog was sound asleep under that big pile of blankets, the grandparents said that the dog, which normally barked at people coming into the house, might not hear anything, ,and hence not bark...
I was robbed once...a small pane of glass had been knocked out of my backdoor, late in the evening...we patched it up with a piece of cardboard, and planned to get it replaced the next day...that nite, someone came into our house, and got in quietly, by removing the cardboard, reaching through, and using the doorknob...but one of my sons heard that sound, and actually came face to face with the robber...thankfully the robber flew out the door...but our dog, who normally barked at anything or anyone entering the house, was at the opposite end of the house, and slept during the whole incident...so please, not every dog will bark every single time, even tho it may be their usual pattern...things happen...
I too, am not going to immediately jump up, and start blaming the grandparents or the father...healthy suspicion of everyone involved is what is needed...when folks immediately start blaming the family, when something like this happens, frankly it makes me ill...blame belongs on the pervert who kidnapped this lovely little girl...
Sometimes the family members are involved, sometimes not...all the nonsense I read sometimes is almost laughable..people being able to claim they actually 'know' something, by looking at the picture of the kidnapped child is probably about the lamest comments that can be posted...I am sure, that certain pictures taken of anyones child, at a particular time, might not be particular attractive or soothing...or looking at a picture of a particular suspect and saying, "Oh, gosh, he looks like a pervert"...I am sure, there are pictures of me, and of all posters where we dont look our best, where someone might say of us that we look like 'perverts'
I just hope, and offer prayers that this police investigation finds this lovely little girl unharmed...and if she is harmed or dead, lets pray that police investigators can find the criminal who did this, no matter who they might be...
God, this is so strange! It is just as if she disappeared in a puff of smoke. I keep listening to the news for something, but nationally, the coverage seems to have cooled a bit.
This is when I am thankful for Greta. We may not like the gavel to gavel coverage ad nauseum she gave Scott Petersen, but she does get situations like Jessica's out there.
The police seem to have taken this disappearance very personally...please do not be offended by my question...I just do not know. Are they doing a good job? My impression is yes, they are. But I just wanted to ask.
I am saying prayers for her and her family. I know they say the longer it goes, the worse it looks, but in this case with no struggle, few clues, and nothing to indicate foul play--maybe if someone took her, they still have her.
How far is I-75 from your area? If someone took her and decided to leave the area how long would it take to get to the interstate?
And Jessica's community--is it everyone knows everyone? I guess what I am wondering, has anyone noticed if anyone left town in the day or two after Jessica disappeared? Or have they taken note of neighbors who have not helped in the search?
I know the police have thought of all of this---I am just wondering out loud.
For what it's worth, the mother lives near Cincinnati (Warren COunty). She was interviewed by the news and she commented that she didn't know the girl and the father were living in Fl. yesterday I heard that she had traveled to Fl in an attempt to help find her daughter. She was pretty shook up.
Scenerio 2: one of her neighbors lured her outside
I just cant see some stranger walking up to a random house and grabbing her.
Did anyone see the family earlier today? I was watching FOX and they showed the family walking and the father and a 2nd man were laughing, WTF? Did anyone else catch that?
I fear for this little girl...
I have a Rhodesian Ridegack and a 12-gauge shotgun protecting my daughter. Will probably add another ridgeback next spring.
